| In 1997 I read of a man claiming to
be one of the few people to have ever visited all 56 Montana counties.
He was a political hack at the time, but it made me think. Montana
is a big place, and in all probability he was right!
So I decided this would make a great motorcycle tour: a photo of my motorcycle (and sometimes even me!) in front of all 56 county courthouses. I thought maybe a year, or two at most would do it, just riding on weekends (the family keeps making claims on those weekends...don't they understand the importance of this tour?!?!). At the beginning of 1999 I had only hit a very few. Partly this was due to the unexpected but vastly anticipated Great ~1998~ GoldWing & Steam Train Traveling Road Show!, and partly due to getting a new[er] Gold Wing, a 1984 1200 Aspencade with about 20,000 miles on it.
