Sandon is a small ghost town just out of New Denver.  It was built, destroyed, and rebuilt many times.  It is currently being rebuilt again.  During World War II it was used as a Japanese relocation camp, but the weather proved too severe even for that awful use.  The next year the inhabitants were moved to a more moderate climate.

This is Dad looking down the valley at Sandon, BC.
We stopped for a coffee and bite of cake here at the Tin Cup Cafe.  It was Great!
Two bears.
Two more bears!
Sandon is home to the oldest operating electrical power plant in BC.  Those tubes on the wall are Cedar pipes.  Tours are available and are well worth it.
It is a tad noisy, but very interesting.
