The next day found us in Williams, AZ, at
the KOA.

The Grand
Canyon Railway depot in Williams is part of an old hotel.
They have (or did then) a false front cowboy town, and cowboys had a
shoot-em-up before the train left for the Grand Canyon South Rim. This is an old REA delivery wagon. |
On board the train there are singing
cowboys, and dulcimer playing ones like this. There is also free
Coca-Cola for the passengers. It is a great ride up to the Grand
Canyon, but there isn't AC on the old cars. Coke was survival
stuff! |
